Founded in 1994 by Cyril Ryan on the shores of the Deel river in Co. Limerick, Cyril’s passion for boats and the water was passed to him at a young age by his father. Indeed he has lived and breathed boats ever since he left school.
Over his time in the marine industry Cyril has built a company that customers trust and respect. From working on yachts, commercial passenger ferries, patrol vessels, and fishing trawlers to upgrading engines and dealing with storm damage repairs, Cyril’s clients continue to call on his skill and abilities year after year.

Lochin have been constructing fast seagoing boats for more than 50 years and continue today working in conjunction with partners, Ryan & Roberts Marine Services Ltd in Ireland, marketing through Lochin Workboats (Ireland) Ltd. Lochin offer a full range of commercial and leisure designs from proven 10m, 11m and 12m hull forms.
All Lochin vessels are bespoke designed and built to meet specific applications. With optional wheelhouse length and positioning you can choose the right balance between accommodation and deck space – something rarely offered. Their highly experienced naval architects are on hand to ensure all necessary compliances and regulations are met.
Ryan and Roberts have developed the yard to accommodate a dedicated moulding facility - temperature and humidity controlled and a spacious build hall for the fitting out processes. Constructions are accommodated and built to Department of Marine Certification requirements or other regulatory authorities for commercially operated vessels.
