Established in 1995 by Cyril Ryan & Associates and situated on the banks of the river Deel close to the Shannon Estuary, the boat yard has extensive facilities for boat building and repairs, launching and shoreside storage. Traditional skills and a dedicated team, provide shipwright and engineering services to leisure and commercial maritime operators including major refits and new constructions.
Cyril Ryan is a shipwright in his own right and accumulated knowledge over 50 years covering all areas of the marine industry including GRP composites, traditional timber construction materials. His reputation for knowledge and expertise in marine matters is known throughout Ireland and many of his customers return year after year.
As main builders of the LOCHIN range of 10m-12m fast offshore craft since 1995 marketed through LOCHIN WORKBOATS (IRELAND) LTD, modern building techniques have been developed and enhanced to provide a bespoke service to the commercial and leisure sectors. Building to exacting requirements often to meet regulatory authorities is second nature to the workforce. Next year will see a milestone; 30 years of building serious sea going vessels many of which continue in service today.
Main distributors of the Beta range of auxiliary marine engines in southern Ireland, swopping out old engines and servicing by skilled engineers is readily available.
